this article about female guitar players is cool and all, and I appreciate the sentiment, but it weirds me out that they describe their playing as “Page-like” or use phrases like “take what we love about Eddie Van Halen’s fast-paced playing…” to talk about it. It’s an article about recognizing awesome women guitarists, but still ends up using male guitarists to gauge what’s good. They don’t do that to all the people listed, but it’s just kind of a bummer.
